Not every VMS clarifies exactly which sub setting of the h.265 CODEC they are using in their calculators (ours does) but whether they show them or not every camera and VMS uses them. So here is a brief overview of the benefits and best use cases for H.265 High QualityGood Quality, and Average Quality.


🔹 H.265 High Quality

Visual Difference: Very sharp, almost lossless. Excellent color accuracy and detail, even in low light or motion scenes.

Benefits:

Best for:
