Step 1 – Unpack the components
The VideoX V3 R4P is shipped with the video storage hard drives installed in the chassis. Carefully remove the VideoX V3 R4P from its shipping box.
Step 2 – Install the Rackmount Kit on the Chassis
A rackmount rail kit is included with VideoX V3 R4P. Refer to the documentation shipped in the rackmount rail kit box.
Step 3 – Cabling the VideoX V3 R4P
VideoX V3 R4P models with redundant power supplies require two AC power sources. Connect both power cords. Only connect a monitor to the VGA port as well as a Keyboard and mouse to any available USB ports. Network connectivity is required during the operation of the VideoX V3 R4P. Plug in at least one Ethernet cable into an Ethernet port of the VideoX V3 R4P. A network cable can be connected to the BMC management port for later usage, but it is not required for basic operation.
Step 4 – Power on the server
To turn on VideoX V3 R4P, press the power button located on the front-right of the VideoX V3 R4P. Allow the VideoX V3 R4P to boot into Windows® 10 operating system.
Step 5 – Windows® Setup
Once the VideoX Value completely boots, follow the onscreen instructions to complete the Windows® 10 Enterprise LTSC 2021. Follow the onscreen prompts. It is recommended that a local user be created. Create a user and password for the system. The user and password created will create the only set of credentials that can be used to log into the system. Arxys is unable to reset this account.
Step 6 – Logging into the VideoX V3 R4P
Follow the onscreen instructions to log in using the password set in step 5.
Step 7 – Installation of Video Management Software
The VideoX V3 R4P can be shipped with various video management platform packages. If a specific VMS package was requested with the purchase of the appliance, the platform installation package will auto run when the system is first used. The platform installation packages will be located in the folder located at C:\ArxysSupport\VMS. For additional information on installing, licensing, and configuring VMS see the VMS documentation.
Microsoft® routinely release updates and patches to improve stability and security of the Windows® 10 Enterprise LTSC 2021 operating system. Any updates released after the VideoX V3 R4P has shipped will need to be applied.
