The On- & Off-site Data Protection feature is a strategy for Storage, Backup, Disaster Recovery and Archiving(optional) that allows for an instant restore of a company’s crucial data in case of an unexpected disaster.

On- & Off-site Data Protection enables creating consistent snapshots of chosen resources and asynchronous replication to remote (or local) destinations. The rotational auto-snapshots of a chosen dataset or zvol are stored according to a retention-interval plan for secure and structured data archiving that can be set according to specific user needs.

Off-site Data Protection in Arxys | Sentio delivers a winning strategy for Backup, Archiving and Disaster Recovery by enabling asynchronous replication to local sites or co-locations. This way, servers with crucial data can be easily and instantly restored in case of an unexpected disaster. The Off-site Data Protection functionality can create unlimited, consistent, real time snapshots and asynchronously replicate snapshot deltas to local or remote destinations to deliver true data security using advanced Software Defined Storage.
